ROH on HonorClub Episode 46 Preview

ROH WORLD TELEVISION CHAMPIONSHIP...

Kyle Fletcher(c) vs. Angelico

After capturing the vacant ROH World TV Title at FINAL BATTLE 2023, Kyle Fletcher stated his goal was to become the longest-reigning, most successful champion in the fourteen year history of the championship. That means surpassing everyone from the very first champion, Eddie Edwards, to the man prior to Kyle in Samoa Joe. Joe's reign ended with him holding the record for longest reign at 574 days while Jay Lethal's second reign holds the defense records at 38. That means Kyle's got 37 more defenses to go following his victory over Willie Mack, and 548 more days to survive as champion in order to top Joe.

Clearly Fletcher is serious about this business though as for the second consecutive week on Honor Club, he will step into the ring and put the ROH World Television Championship on the line! His opponent this Thursday night is none other than The Spanish Announce Project's Angelico, making his second bid for a Ring of Honor title, and his first for the World TV Championship.

Can Angelico, coming off a victory over Christopher Daniels in his last singles match, rock Kyle Fletcher's world and bring an end to his grand plans of making history?

ONE-ON-ONE...

Cole Karter vs. Serpentico

Last week it was Griff Garrison who picked up the victory over Serpentico, continuing to escalate a rivalry that began a month ago after The SAP, Garrison, and Karter lost to Dalton Castle, The Boys, and Gravity in an 8-Man tag. But as you can see in the video embedded above, Serpentico didn't take that loss easily and, along with Angelico, chose to sneak attack Griff and Cole during an interview.

That means this week on Honor Club, while Angelico tries to bring a title to The SAP, Serpentico will tackle a match with the other half of Maria's kids, Cole Karter! Now Karter may hold an 8/1/22 ELEVATION victory over Serpentico, but this is Ring of Honor, and here Serpentico has actually managed to win a few matches! Can he add another one to his resume this Thursday, or will Cole Karter fare the same as his tag partner when faced with the Snake Man?

2 OUT OF 3 FALLS...

Shane Taylor Promotions (Shane Taylor & Lee Moriarty) vs.

The Infantry (Carlie Bravo & Capt. Shawn Dean)

Last week on Honor Club, Shane Taylor Promotions was victorious in a Three Way Tag bout over The Infantry and The Boys, pinned one of The Boys to score the victory, after it seemed The Infantry had the victory in the palm of their hand. It wasn't the first time Shane Taylor pulled one out over The Infantry, during this past summer's World TV Title Eliminator, Shane T beat Shawn Dean to advance while a few months later he and Lee would score a tag team victory over The Infantry. Carlie and Captain would even the score in an eight-man tag a month later, but it's STP who hold the advantage after last week's Three Way win.

So that is why it has come to this, a 2/3 Falls contest to determine which team is the dominant force in Ring of Honor, and worthy of perhaps facing The Undisputed Kingdom for the championship titles now that Matt Taven and Mike Bennett have been revealed as the goons behind the masks! Will it be STP or The Infantry who comes out on top of this grueling contest? The only way to watch it unfold is on Honor Club!
