ROH WORLD TELEVISION CHAMPIONSHIP MATCH...
Komander(c) vs. The Patriarchy's Nick Wayne
Komander has been extremely busy since winning the ROH World TV Title at FINAL BATTLE 2024! Not only has he successfully defended the title against both QT Marshall and Johnny TV, he beat Claudio Castagnoli in the 2024 Continental Classic, stepped into the ring with both “The Bastard” PAC and AEW Continental Champion Kazuchika Okada, and welcomed both QT and “Big Shotty” Lee Johnson on the Proving Ground. Unfortunately both QT and Lee found ways to last the 10-minute time limit, and while Marshall's bid to claim the World TV Title was rebuked, “Big Shotty” is still owed one from his Proving Ground bout during HONOR CLUB #101. Lee will have to patiently wait to see who he gets that shot against because tonight on HONOR CLUB, Komander is facing The Patriarchy's Nick Wayne in a championship battle!
Though the two men have had a number of interactions in the last two years, including a Four-Way on the October 5, 2024 COLLISION and a tag match one year prior to that where they joined to face Aussie Open, they've never gone one-on-one. It's a huge opportunity for young Mr. Wayne as he's 2-1 in ROH competition with that one loss stemming from a Pure Championship battle against Katsuyori Shibata during HONOR CLUB #30. Can Nick Wayne make his father proud and bring a title back to The Patriarchy, or will Komander continuing showing the world why he's one of the most exciting athletes to step into the ROH ring in some time!
ELIMINATOR MATCH...
AEW International Champion Konosuke Takeshita vs. “The Dynamite Kid” Tommy Billington
Coming off a huge NEVER Openweight Championship victory over Oleg Boltin at NJPW's A NEW BEGINNING IN OSAKA 2025 event, Konosuke Takeshita drops by the Jericho Cruise before he heads to Australia to give “The Dynamite Kid” Tommy Billington the biggest opportunity of his AEW/ROH career thus far, and bring the AEW International Championship to Ring of Honor for the first time! While the championship may not be on the line in this battle between “The Alpha” and “The Dynamite Kid”, the opportunity for Tommy Billington to earn a future title opportunity is as this will be contested under Eliminator Rules! If Billington can find a way to beat the International Champion, he will earn himself a future title match, and certainly put a damper on The Alpha's momentum as he prepares for the tag team battle with Kenny Omega and Will Ospreay at GRAND SLAM: AUSTRALIA on Saturday!
ONE-ON-ONE...
Harley Cameron vs. Billie Starkz
Harley Cameron is on the precipice of the biggest night of her wrestling career: a TBS Championship match with “The CEO” Mercedes Moné at GRAND SLAM: AUSTRALIA this Saturday, and that's on the heels of getting her first televised singles victory over Taya Valkyrie on the 2/1/25 COLLISION. Add that into the wild Halftime Harley performance we were treated to on the last edition of COLLISION, and it's been a banner couple weeks for Harley. However it's not enough, and she's coming to back to Ring of Honor tonight to share her wrath with the Jericho Cruise! In this case it means stepping into the ring with Billie Starkz for the very first time and looking to keep the momentum going as she prepares to hop on the plane to Brisbane!
For Starkz its a weird time; she had a few weeks of breathing room after her FINAL BATTLE 2024 loss to ROH Women's World Champion Athena because “The Fallen Goddess” was on her World Tour competing in Stardom. However with Athena's return last week, it looks like Billie has fallen right back into the role she's spent the better part of the last 18 months occupying, only now she's also doing the job Lexy Nair had before Athena fired her from M.I.T. Starkz couldn't have summed it up any better than when, at one point during Athena's Proving Ground bout with Carolina Cruz, Billie said “We've been through this already!”, and therein lies the biggest question with Billie Starkz. Has she resigned herself to playing this supporting role in Athena's career after twice failing to beat her for the championship? Is this all Billie thinks her value is now?
SINGLES MATCH
“The Franchise” Jay Lethal vs. MxM Collection's Mason Madden
You wouldn't know it from how things looked after the match, but it was Mansoor who fell to ROH World Tag Champion Sammy Guevara last week during HONOR CLUB. However it was he and Mason Madden who left Sammy Guevara laying and departed Jacksonville with one of the ROH World Tag Title belts in their possession. MxM Collection made it clear weeks ago they had designs on the belts held by Guevara and Dustin Rhodes, but that implied they intended to earn their match not just steal a belt from its rightful owner.
As unpredictable as these Jericho Cruises can be, perhaps Sammy Guevara will be on-hand tonight during HONOR CLUB when Mason Madden steps into the ring with former ROH World Tag Champion Jay Lethal, “The Franchise of ROH”! In addition to having held the ROH World Title twice, the World TV Title twice, as well as the ROH Pure Title, Lethal was also one-half of the longest reigning World Tag Team Champions in ROH history with 441 days to his resume! So he's quite familiar with the drive to hold those titles that MxM Collection is currently experiencing, but he's also someone who earned it the hard way (fighting The Briscoes at FINAL BATTLE 2019) and doesn't have much appreciation for someone just absconding with the title after a two-on-one assault.
Can Mason Madden and Mansoor use that numbers advantage to leave Lethal the same way they left Sammy Guevara, or will “The Franchise of ROH” show MxM Collection what happens when they come to play in his yard?
ONE-ON-ONE...
Ricochet vs. Serpentico
Serpentico is on a roll here in Ring of Honor, at least by his standards. Two weeks he scored a one-on-one victory over Brandon Cutler, his second over the last four singles matches, and for Serpentico that is a huge milestone. However tonight that run may come to a sharp conclusion as he steps into the ring with Ricochet for the very first time! Despite being an active competitor since October 2003, Ricochet only ever stepped inside an ROH ring on one occasion, and that was actually in a dark match prior to SURVIVAL OF THE FITTEST 2009. That makes this fight with Serpentico his first match on an official Ring of Honor event, and that's a huge milestone for the career of a competitor who's traveled all across the world and collected championships! Could we see more of Ricochet in ROH after this, or is he simply taking advantage of the situation to send another message to Swerve Strickland at Serpentico's expense?
TAG TEAM ACTION...
The Outrunners (Truth Magnum & Turbo Floyd) vs.
Grizzled Young Veterans (James Drake & Zack Gibson)
Last week, in the main event of HONOR CLUB #102, The Outrunners scored a huge tag team victory in the Four-Way bout that included Dark Order, Premier Athletes, and their opponents for this evening, the Grizzled Young Veterans James Drake and Zack Gibson! Failure to win the bout was disappointing enough for GYV, but the fact that James Drake was the man pinned by The Outrunners following Total Recall was just too much for them to take.
Tonight they look to even the score for that loss, but it's far more than just that as Truth Magnum, Turbo Floyd, Gibson, and Drake have issues dating back to last year's August 30th edition of RAMPAGE when GYV, in their first match as official members of the AEW locker room, defeated The Outrunners. They were also mutual participants in the Tag Team Casino Gauntlet on DYNAMITE last September, met in a huge 10-Man tag on COLLISION a few weeks later, then met in their second tag team encounter on the 10/5/24 COLLISION. The Outrunners evened the score with GYV that night, scoring their second-ever win on television and certainly the biggest in their career to that point. The issues between the four men have carried over to Ring of Honor, and now even onto the high seas, but who will score victory tonight in their rubber match?
